Design & Construction Management
Design and Construction Management promotes a positive business culture. This works best when the client and builder have an interest in their relationship, that is based on trust, honesty and open communication, which is often lost as a result of a lump sum tender process. This is a departure from the tender norm which can encourage conflict and ignores the goals of the client in the pursuit of the ‘lowest price’, with the ‘real price’ unfortunately often being uncovered gradually during the job. This does not mean that the importance of price is downgraded with the Design and Construction Management Model, quite the contrary. The entire Design and Construction Management process is focused on delivering the best value for money.
